Orleans, MA – The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has been awarded the Massachusetts Lender of the Year to Women by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for fiscal year 2016.
“This designation is especially important because of SBA’s national commitment to women entrepreneurs through several different initiatives,” said Robert Nelson, SBA Massachusetts District Director. “Cape Cod Five approved its largest percentage of loans to women compared to 22 other lenders in this category for a total of $503,000 to Women-Owned businesses according to our data.”

The SBA offers a variety of loan guaranty programs including 7(a), SBA Express, Veteran Advantage Program, Small Loan Advantage (SLA) and CDC/504 Loans. SBA loans are guaranteed up to $5 million and are available for most business purposes, such as purchasing commercial real estate, equipment and inventory, or for providing short-term working capital.
