Hyannis, MA – Cape Cod 5 recently announced the hiring of Eleanor P. Williams as General Counsel, reporting to Matt Burke, Chairman and CEO. In her role and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Eleanor will oversee all aspects of legal and insurance at the Bank and work closely with Joel Brickman, outgoing General Counsel, who will retire in January 2024.
“We are pleased to welcome Eleanor as Cape Cod 5’s new General Counsel,” said Burke. “Eleanor brings a wealth of expertise and will provide thoughtful guidance as part of our Senior Leadership Team at Cape Cod 5.”
Prior to joining Cape Cod 5, Eleanor served as Chief of Staff to the General Counsel at an industry leading insurance company. She has over 20 years of experience and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Services from Georgetown University, a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
As an active member of the community and legal field, Eleanor serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Holyoke Community College, on the executive board for the Greater Springfield Chapter of The Links, Inc. and as President of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Additionally, Eleanor is an alumni interviewer for Georgetown University.
